2020 North Island Blackbelt Gasshuku and Dan Grading

Instructors: NZ Kambukai Chairperson Sensei Brian McGhie, 7th Dan and Sensei Rajesh Ravji 6th Dan
When;
• Saturday 5 December, 9.30 am Registration
• Saturday 5 December, 10.00 am – 2.00 pm Training
• Sunday 6 December, 2.30 pm – 4.30 Grading
• Sunday 6 December, 10.00 am – 1.00 pm Training
Where;
Training for both days will be at Wainuiomata High School, 60 Parkway, Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt.
Dan Grading;
It is expected that Dojo Instructors will attend the grading if they have students grading or have made
some other arrangements. Please email Sensei Brian to let him know if you have a student grading
before November 21. Grading candidates who have not registered their intention may not be allowed
to grade.
The grading fees will be sent to those who register their students prior to the event.
IOGKFNZ AGM;
The AGM will be held at 1.00 pm on Sunday at the conclusion of the training.
Cost;
Due to the impact of COVID in 2020 the cost for all participants is only $50, payable to IOGKFNZ on
Saturday morning prior to training. Grading fees will be collected separately, but also at registration.
Instructors please note, the focus of the weekend is for Blackbelt tuition, so we can continue to
advance our own karate practise, so please only bring Brown Belts who are grading at the gasshuku.
Special note;
This event may be postponed or cancelled should the government implement COVID restrictions that
impact on its ability to be held it can’t take place.
